When seeking out the right stylist or barber, one might find that sifting through tons of mediocre shops and individual stylists is the only way to find a skilled and experienced pro. Many times, the right hair professional is just down the street, but people overlook the locals or fail to inspect the profiles without actually visiting the shop in person. Wattba – an online mobile app, provides a platform in the UK that easily links up awesome hairstylists, beauticians, and barbers with those in need of quality styling. Wattba also has a time-based rating service like Yelp to help members of the community evaluate professionals based on their skillset and desired results. They believe that care & creativity in hair styling can make a huge difference in people’s everyday lives. That’s why they created this awesome platform, which effortlessly links up stylists, barbers & beauticians with people in need of quality styling. It’s the fusion of offline human connection & online convenience that makes us one-of-a-kind.
Understanding our client’s requirements is one of the most crucial parts of any project. Our UK-based client had a vision of creating an online mobile app for all those busy entrepreneurs and working people who want to connect with their hairstylist, or barbers with one just click. Moreover, he also wanted to use this platform for hair professionals in the UK so that they can connect directly with their potential clients and efficiently build their business without facing any hurdles. The client’s vision was clear to us that we loved working on this project as it would be like a dream come true for many barbers and salon owners.
After understanding our client’s problem, we – Kodexo Labs, started our app development journey of this interactive project. Our design team comprehends with client’s needs, prepared the structural view of the entire project, and chose Agile SDLC to give value to our client by delivering faster updates. Our proactive app developers and client came up with an idea to build two variants of this platform: An App – for users who want to book appointments with their desired barbers or hairstylist in the UK. The Web App – which would have two panels, one for all the UK-based hairstylists, professional barbers, and expert beauticians who want to list their business to reach out to the users and manage several requests, bookings, and appointments. Another one would be the super admin panel for the client to manage and approve various barbershops and hairstylists. This three-tiered management structure of a mobile app managing day-to-day operations like booking, cancellation, and entire business grabbed our client’s attention and he approved it instantly!
To search for and book appointments at nearby barbershops, users must create an account, log in, and follow a few simple steps.
We also integrated a feature that allows users to find nearby businesses and stylists right on the map. This feature makes it easy for users to search for services nearby within a second.
Users who want to book appointments for a haircut, styling, or else can find the necessary information about the shop, such as an address, opening hours, gallery, services provided, and available slots for appointments. The customers can choose a date and time block that works for them and reserve one of the available slots.
Once logged in, users can easily filter out their desired services (Haircut, styling, Shampoo, Spa, Shaving, Facial makeup, and hairdryer) based on their location, distance, popularity, gender, price, etc.
For the customer’s ease of booking and satisfaction, we integrated ratings and reviews so that potential customers may feel secure in their choice of stylist.
The app offers multiple payment options, including credit cards, debit cards, and net banking. These allow users to make payments directly with the app.
For barbers, stylists, and shop owners to be listed in the app, they must create an account, log in and follow the instructions.
Business owners can also schedule and cancel appointments, as well as manage their customers’ booking records.
